About the owner…
Hey there, I’m Bernadette! Welcome to your new salon home. Thank you so much for your interest in joining me and Carmela on our journey of creating beautiful healthy curly or straight hair and gorgeous, rich color.
My name is Bernadette Bickel and I specialize in textured hair and long lasting beautiful hair color.
I’ve spent most of my career on textured hair training because I’m passionate about healthy beautiful curls that are cared for and nurtured. I believe that everyone should love their hair all of the time!
I recently added to my team and I can’t wait to help Carmela grow her curly business. She’s amazing already. The sky is the limit.
My goal is to create a space where you feel heard and intently listened to during your time in my chair.
I always provide education on how to recreate the same look at home and solutions to all the difficulties you may have with caring for your hair whether curly or straight and/or extending the life of your color.
During my off time I enjoy spending time with the three little humans that I made with my husband and best friend. Pre-Covid I enjoyed live music or just listening to music on vinyl. I’m an on again off again runner and I also enjoy cycling. Self-care is the most undervalued aspect of our lives, which is why I do my best to encourage it always!
I appreciate that you chose me to be your stylist and I plan on providing you with the best self-care to the best of my ability.
My long term goal is to be in a position where I can make a difference in the community. This is why I choose to give back when I can. I volunteer my time helping a local basketball organization as a division director and coach for 6th and 7th grade girls.
I believe that the beauty industry has the ability to change the world.
